Kids Lockdown Activity: Easter Egg Painting

Happy Easter! How did you spend the weekend? We didn’t have much planned, aside from eating the traditional hot crossed buns. Love those yummy treats!

A fun activity for the family would be painting Easter eggs. I usually use real eggs and food colouring, but the eggs we were able to stock before lockdown are brown and the colour wouldn’t have taken effect. Luckily, we had some foam eggs lying around from a past project, so we painted these over the weekend. The good thing with using these types of eggs is you get flexibility with the paint you can use. We used a mix of watercolour, markers for the designs.

When they dried, we had a great time taking turns hiding these around the house. Hope you enjoyed your Easter activities!
