We spent about a week and half learning about cubism. The early 20th Century Avant-Garde movement is considered one of the most influential art movements from that era. Cubism attempts to create fragmented or abstracted subjects using geometrical shapes. Pablo Picasso and Georges Braque, were pioneers of this cubism.
As part of the art activity, we focused on creating an art work that used geometric shapes to define our subject, which was a mermaid. Here’s the end result.
